Little Bird

A relaxed, sensory performance about two sisters who find an injured bird in their backyard and decide to heal it. Through the world of imagination, they sail by boat to Africa, encounter frightening animals and wise snails, bring down the rain, and fly with wings into the sky. Along their journey, they rediscover themselves and each other. A performance by two actresses and a puppet, exploring the delicate relationships between siblings, imagination, and the power of compassion.

During the performance, audience members are welcome to step out, move around, and make sounds. All behaviors and responses are accepted. The space is inclusive and accommodating, and the audience is asked to refrain from making remarks.

Safe Place creates sensory and relaxing performances for young audiences, with a focus on neurological diversity and on those experiencing emotional overload, anxiety, or extreme situations. The organization initiates and develops performances, an annual festival, workshops, and artistic processes tailored to diverse audiences, with deep attention to sensory and emotional needs.
